Does anyone know if that 3.8 mile stretch of Canada Rd. at Crystal Springs has too much traffic for skating on days when there isn't a race there? I'm going to be in San Mateo and Half Moon Bay from Christmas to New Years, and thought I might try skating there if there isn't too much traffic. Hopefully I'll make it to Crystal Spring or Napa for one of the races in 2008.

The road is closed to cars every Sunday from 9AM to 3PM for what is called "Bicycle Sunday." Cyclists and skaters have been known to use it otherwise, but it can be risky at times, since some cars go very fast, and often take no heed to anybody else.

Bicycle Sunday sounds great. Are there any regulars who do paceline training there on Sundays?
