Squiggy 2009

Postby Birgit on Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:04 pm

Hi all,

The outdoor season has a few races left, but the new season has already made itself known :D

Squiggy Inline Classic 2009 March 13-15 is just 150 and-a-bit-of-change days away - so start planning.

We already have 6 people signed up (http://www.active.com/uploads_search.cfm?upm_id=2825) and you're more than welcome to be one of the early birds, go here to sign up http://www.squiggyclassicinline.com/reg ... ration.php

We are both on Facebook http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=38270790361 and MySpace http://www.myspace.com/squiggyclassicinline please become our friends - one can never have too many!

The event will be the same as last year, just better!! :D See event details here http://www.squiggyclassicinline.com/
Jessica and I have already hired the chip-timing company from last year (http://www.triandduit.com/webforms/tad_home.aspx).

Hmm what else is new??

We are thinking of adding a 10K - depending on level of interest.
Also putting feelers out in the Roller Derby/quad community to see if there's interest for adding a quad competition.
Jorge Botero (our speed coach in Stardust, Tampa ) has promised to help promote the event in Europe and Columbia - hope even more and even stronger skaters will arrive.

More will be added as time pass, just wanted to let everybody know that we are here and going strong!

/Birgit

Please take our survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=brUh9oLntBPz0Ksqab5ogA_3d_3d

The more answers we get the better can we make Squiggy Classic Inline 2009

All surveys submitted before January 15, 2009 will participate in a drawing for a free entry for the 2009 race. If you are already signed up for the 2009 race, you will still be able to participate in the drawing. Additional comments are also encouraged!

If you did not participate in Squiggy Classic Inline 2008, please leave us a a note to let us know what we can do to make the race attractive to you.

Thanks in advance for your viewpoints, they are highly appreciated!

And yes we do know it is a long survey - but well we have a lot of questions

Best regards and all that :-) from the event coordinators Jessica Wright and Birgit Holme

If you want to make sure to get one of the totally cool and very usable t-shirts that you only will find from Squiggy Classic Inline, please make sure to sign up before Feb 15, 2009.

Till that date it will cost you the very low and unbeatable price of $55 for a whole weekend of skating (3 skates - fun and competition) after Feb 15. we will raise the price to $65, still very low.

Sign up here http://www.active.com/page/Event_Detail ... 59532acbb5

Why was it you wanted to sign up early... because you wanted to make it more easy on Jessica and I.

We have already secured some price money for the advanced cat. as well as some cool skate products for the general raffle.

Don't hesitate to sign up, we know you'll love skating in sunny Florida this March

For those who do not know NROC - it is short for National Roller Cup and you can sign up here http://nroc.eventbrite.com/

We honor a $5 discount for those signed up for NROC - when you sign up for NROC you'll get a discount code, use that when you sign up for Squiggy here:
