Charging a Hill

The lead pack climbs a hill in the early goings of the Texas Road Rash. In the center of the pack is the young Mexican skater Juan Pablo Diaz (wearing a red helmet). Swinging his orange-clad arm is Alex Fedak of Team Oklahoma. Fedak, 40, finished fifth overall. Visible in the back of the pack (right side) is Hall of Fame skater Cheryl Ezzell. Ezzell, who retired from racing five years ago, finished 15th overall, only 3 minutes and 12 seconds behind the winner.
