Celebration for the Victor

Salomon Smartskate's Nathalie Barbotin raises her arms in victory after crossing the finish line Saturday in Paris. The 30-year-old World Cup veteran broke away from the main pack about five kilometers from the finish line and built a substantial lead. But the lead pack nearly caught her. At the finish line, she was only two seconds ahead of second-place Simona Di Eugenio.
