Hyper star talks about her winning hawk and what she hopes to accomplish next

A less competitive skater might be taking the week off after winning Sunday's Seoul World Inline Cup race in Korea. But not Hyper's Jessica Smith. When the Planet's Robert Burnson caught up with her Thursday, she was getting ready to head off to practice with her old Wolverine teammates.

With that kind of work ethic, it's not surprising that the 22-year-old skater from Melvindale, Mich., has won just about everything that inline racing has to offer, including numerous world championships and the 2004 World Inline Cup.

Smith covers lots of topics in her Planet interview, including her winning hawk in Sunday's race, her plans for the season and her goal of earning a spot on the U.S. Olympic speed skating team.
