Barry Publow Offers Skate Camp Tour of His Hometown
Ottawa camp includes technical instruction, skate tours and more
Would you like to hone your skate skills while getting to know one of Canada's most lovely cities?
Sign up for Barry Publow's SpeedCamp Ottawa (May 20-28).
The Canadian skate coach and author has designed the 8-day camp with equal amounts of work and play.
Aside from daily technical sessions and video analysis, Publow has scheduled rolling tours of Ottawa, a river cruise, a picnic on Alymer Island, social dinners, a barbecue (at his house) and even some water skiing.
"Aside from being a technical workshop, I really want it to be a fun vacation," the Ottawa native said.
The end of the camp (May 28th) coincides with the National Capital Marathon in Ottawa. So campers, if they choose, will have a chance to show off their new found skills.
The camp costs $399.
Accommodations are extra. The group rate for the Victoria Park Suites hotel downtown is $369 for the week (double occupancy).
