Looks like there's another good wheel option for outdoor skaters:

I've been trying to tell anyone who will listen that the TruRevs are outstanding. I'm on a 3x110, 1x100 setup. I'm using 3 grippy wheels (they're not really soft) in the front three spots and one firm wheel in the back spot. I get plenty of roll. I'll probably add a firm wheel to races with smoother courses.

I've been using the Tru-Rev Uranus 110's ever since I received my custom Vaypors 6 or 7 months ago. I've probably put about 300 miles on them including a couple of races & on average they have only worn down by 1mm.

I'm not sure if they are firm or medium, I think they are firm, I got them within a month of their initial release, about 2 weeks before I actually got my Vaypor's. They only had one hardness of wheel at that time. They feel harder then the green Matter Mundo's which I like better for races on courses with rough surfaces like the parking lot section of Disney. But for smoother courses, I like the Tru-Rev's better.

I've found the grip on wet (non-vehicular use) asphalt to be not so great, frequently slipping if I push my leg out very far, which is one reason I think I have the firm version...

Chaos,

Even the new firm wheels are better now. I had the same experience with the first generation of TruRev wheels. If you combine the grippier wheels with the firm as Francisco recommended, I think you find that to be a very effective set-up. On the new wheels I have great grip on wet pavement.
