Great article. I've been trying to get into inline competitions and cannot find anything or any group in my area (New Mexico). It's frustrating. This artcile is a great start. If anyone has tips on how to get involved, please pass them along.

One addition I have, is regarding the information on skates. If this is more for beginners, then let me tell you about some skates for beginners to advanced and they won't break the bank or give you blisters. The skates are PowerSlide's - http://www.powerslideusa.com/ - I have the R2's and they are $299 for the whole deal, and they are very comfortable. I am not suggesting any of this because I get anything from them, I just believe in their products and I am trying to provide valuable information to people who are starting out and don't want to dump a ton of cash just to start out. Happy skating.
