I was not complaining, merely inquiring. I heard that Easter and another planned baseball event were the main factors in the date change.

Again,................. my post was in no way a complaint, and I can not WAIT to get back to Texas and hopefully make it to the finish line this year .

No worries, DROID. Didn't think you were complaining, I was being a smarta$$. We look forward to having everyone show up in Texas.

skate09, sorry you'll miss it, but congratulations on the wedding. Bring the family in 2010! Yes, we have to work around the Round Rock Express baseball home schedule, but we will keep as close to the beginning of April as possible each year.

Very cool, The TX Road Rash is definitely one of the absolute best races in the USA. While it is not a point to point, it is BETTER in many respects. It is a wide open road race on a great course with no 180 degree turn-a-rounds. The 6 laps allow for the BEST in spectatorship because you can see the strategies take place. The central area is fabulous, as it is located adjacent to the baseball stadium with a massive parking lot allowing for a great pre-race warm-up, lots of room for a perfact area near the start/finish line for ALL pre and post race activities, especially the party.

Austin is an amazing city and the spring bloom of the Blue Bonnets is really beautiful.

I highly advise a side trip to the small town of Shiner, TX about a 2 - 3 hour drive to a great brewery which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The brewery is very cool to see. The tour is awesome , the beer is great and it is a perfect excuse !!!

I am already arranging guaranteed time off work and I am VERY PUMPED for this race.

Just to clarify the race date planning............... is it accurate to say that the natural (preferred) race date is April 5th, but that was a no-go because of Easter........... the #2 date is April 12th , also a no-go because of a big baseball event conflicting................. so the race landed on April 19th ???????????????????

That would be awesome to see you at this race Greg.................. btw, you would love the lead up to the finish. Actually, the last Oh,say 2- 3 miles of the loop are either downhill or totally flat............... sprinter's paradise.

Also, really fun and well run event.

Registration will begin early January. We are finalizing a couple of details and will update website as those details are confirmed. Everyone will like the improvements to the Eliminations Races and hopefully a mid-April date will encourage you northerners to come to kickbutt Austin area for this event. Round Rock PARD really does it's best to make this a world class event.

See you there!
