A guide to setting up a safe and fair finish for an inline speed skating road race

Finish Lines - Option 1: Shared Finish Line (Skaters and Runners)

  • The diagram below illustrates the best choice when skaters start first followed by runners.
  • Herder #1 directs runners right and skaters left (can also have skaters right, runners left).
  • Processing chutes are next to each other and crossable (cones) in case athlete chose wrong side and has to move.
